I go back and forth between 73 and 74 for which is best (of course, DS or no, I think '77 rules over them all)...

but for me '74 barely edges out '73 due to one show in particular--the stunning Freedom Hall show , Lex., Kentucky...6-18-74. Brilliant all the way thru.

PNE Vancouver 6-22-73 is my favorite show from that year, and the Birdsong from that show has moved into my #1 all time favorite slot, which is saying a lot for a song that's in my Top 3 of overall Dead tunes.
